Project Manager - Steel FabricationWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in steel fabrication to oversee multiple projects from start to finish in a fast-paced construction/manufacturing environment.Steel fabrication experience is required for this role. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.This position is responsible for managing project scope, schedules, costs, and quality while coordinating across internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage overall project execution, including cost, schedule, and qualityCoordinate drafting, purchasing, fabrication, and installation timelinesReview project specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy and complianceCommunicate project updates, schedule changes, and priorities to internal teams and clientsDevelop and maintain project schedules, including "what-if" scenarios for planning and risk mitigationUtilize project management software (Tekla or similar) for RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and change ordersMonitor production progress and ensure alignment with project timelinesAttend project meetings and visit job sites to assess progress and resolve issuesCoordinate with vendors and suppliers to track materials and delivery schedulesIdentify and resolve issues impacting production, quality, or deadlinesProvide updates on contract changes, specifications, and project status to leadershipRequirementsMinimum 2+ years of Project Management experienceStrong understanding of project scheduling, contracts, and client managementAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyExperience with Tekla or similar project management software preferredStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsConstruction-related degree preferred (or equivalent experience)EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
